Boatshed auction breaks record

By Jessie Stewart

The auction of a boatshed through Ash Weston of Ray White Frankston has set a new record for boatshed values in Frankston, selling under the hammer for $155,000.

“It was such a fantastic result. The reserve was $110,000 and the nine registered bidders were all competing hard for the sale. The successful purchaser lives on Gould Street in Frankston and is absolutely thrilled with their purchase,” Ash said.

Partnering with Rotary Club of Frankston Sunrise, Ash auctioned the boatshed on Saturday, 25th of September with all proceeds of this newest sale donated back to the community.

“This was the third and final auction of a bathing box. Frankston City Council and Rotary Club of Frankston Sunrise have raised a total of $385,000 for the community over the past three years through these auctions.

“It’s an honour to be able to contribute,” Ash said. Hosting a family fun day on the Frankston foreshore on the day of the auction, the local community came together in support of the auction.

“We had face-painting, a sausage sizzle and plenty of fun and games. It was one of those days that makes you feel so proud of being a part of the Frankston community,” Ash said.
