By Rebecca Richmond

Last Weekend – 73% clearance rate from 475 auctions
This Wekkend – 950 Auctions
This Weekend Last Year – 61% clearance rate from 512 auctions
This Weekend 2011 – 55% clearance rate from 652 auctions

This weekend the REIV is expecting around 950 auctions. The highest volume of auctions is expected to be found in Preston and Elwood with 13 auctions scheduled in both suburbs.

This is the first time that Elwood featured as the top suburb for auctions this year with more than double its average of 6 auctions per week. Elwood is also one of Melbourne’s million dollar suburbs. As we approach the highs of the spring selling season, the number of auctions in Melbourne’s million dollar suburbs is also expected to increase.
