Oz Harvest Food Drive

By Rachel Wallace
OzHarvest, Australia’s leading food rescue charity, is seeking food donations to help feed Australians in need. Please donate non-perishable pantry items such as cereals, pasta, biscuits, crackers, tinned food, boxed food etc.
We will be collecting from 15-26 Nov – bring your donations into our head office at 36 Playne street, Frankston and leave with reception.
Raid your pantry and bring in any non-perishable items you may have lying unused.
Please only include items within their use by date.
Some examples of what you can bring in are
  • Pasta, rice, noodles
  • Canned fruit, canned veg, tuna, salmon, stew, soup (ring pulls)
  • Long life milk products, tea/ coffee, cereal
  • Biscuits, (sweet and savoury)
Food containing alcohol cannot be accepted, so please do not donate Christmas puddings.
Please avoid filling heavy boxes, donating food in eco shopping bags is preferred.
As an idea: A great hamper idea for a family of 4 would include the following:
Breakfast – box of cereal, longlife milk
Lunch – Tuna, soup, canned vegetables, crackers
Dinner – Any canned protein such as beef stew, macaroni & cheese, rice, tuna, canned fruit or vegetables.
Please consider donating to an incredibly worthy cause that we support throughout the year, by giving whatever you can to those less fortunate than ourselves this Christmas.
