Ray White Group wins top prize at REB awards again!

By Mikaela Fowler

Ray White Group, Australasia’s largest real estate group, has taken out the top industry accolade for Major Network of the Year at the 2021 Real Estate Business (REB) awards for the sixth year in a row.

The award cements the leading group’s success during a rollercoaster year which saw a strong increase in the family-owned and led group’s sales market share.

The Real Estate Business Awards, in their ninth year, are open to every professional and real estate group. The awards recognise the best operators across a range of categories.

In accepting the accolade in Sydney, Ray White Group Managing Director Dan White said the award was a reflection of every Ray White member and their relentless commitment to improving the experience they provide all customers.

“We faced bushfires and then the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 but our members are amazingly resilient. We are never satisfied and always seeking to improve in all areas of our business,” Mr White said.

Ray White NSW CEO Andrew McCulloch (pictured with the Major Network of the Year award) said it would have been easy to retreat when faced with all the adversity of 2020. “But we pushed harder to find solutions for our customers. When our customers needed us the most we delivered. So I am very proud of the hard work, effort and decision making of our corporate group and the network in 2020 and into 2021.”

Congratulations to Damian Portaro of Ray White Mildura for winning the Sales Agent of the Year – Regional award. From his home in the beautiful Sunraysia region, Mr Portaro said he was delighted to win the award from REB after the year he will never forget.

“What a year! When COVID hit I didn’t just double down I went ballistic, I went 10 X growth. I pushed harder than I have ever gone before and it paid off. From June to now we have been breaking records and have had our best year ever,” Mr Portaro said.

“I led from the front while others panicked and my team and I created opportunities for all our clients. I cannot thank my staff enough – Katrina Wootton and Rachel Wilson – are both dynamos.”

Congratulations to the finalists from within the winning group’s leading network.
